About the organization
A society where every individual, regardless of background, has equal access to education, health, and economic opportunities.
Founded in 2015 by a group of social workers in Pune, Asha Welfare Foundation began with a single school for 50 children in a slum community. Today we reach over 10,000 beneficiaries across 12 branches in Maharashtra.

Constructing check dams, farm ponds, and recharge wells across 30 villages to address water scarcity and support agricultural activities in drought-prone regions of Maharashtra.
Supporting 800 farmers in transitioning from chemical to organic farming through training, certification support, and market linkage to premium buyers in urban markets.
Building and supporting a network of 200 women's self-help groups across 4 districts for financial inclusion, skill development, and collective economic empowerment.

May 2026
Our solar irrigation project installed 45 solar pumps across 12 villages, transforming 500 acres of rain-dependent farmland into year-round cultivable land. Farmer incomes increased by an average of 180% in the first year.
Jan 2026
This year, 1,200 rural women joined our network of Self-Help Groups, collectively saving ₹45 lakhs and accessing ₹1.2 crore in microfinance loans to start small enterprises, purchase livestock, and invest in their children's education.
